The Boulder County Public Works Department is seeking to hire a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist to develop and maintain GIS datasets; carry out tasks and projects as directed by the GIS Manager; support department staff with mapping and dataset development needs; and work with the GIS team to develop long term mapping solutions. This individual will be responsible for using Geographic Information Systems to interpret, design, and produce maps, both static and dynamic; develop web map applications; edit and maintain spatial (GIS) data; perform spatial analysis; develop the Boulder County Road Map; and assist with implementing and maintaining an asset management system (Cartegraph). Make sure to fill out the Boulder County online form completely, ensuring that all education, experience and qualifications in GIS are included. The GIS Specialist position is a journey level classification.
