Geodesy Course — Updates

The geodesy course continues.  Eighteen students completed and counting.  Check it out!    http://www.geocounsel.com/training.html (a safe site)

Currently, a course is running for 4 students of a Colorado city under a tailored calendar of sessions.  You can set one up for your group too.

Also, just finished my first student from New York.

Presented a 2-hour well-received paper on “Introduction to Geodesy” at the PLSC Annual Conference.

What is geodesy?  It is the science that helps GIS people talk with surveyors and mappers, and vice versa.  If you struggle with datums, projections, geoids, residuals, grids and accuracy, discover how all that stuff can be easy to understand.

If you use GIS or GPS, this 15-session 22+ hour course bridges high school and the practical world for those who cannot go to an academic program.  There’s no better way to up-ramp professional judgment by getting a handle on these serious topics.

Course contents have been assembled over the past 20 years and are continuously improved and added to.  There’s no fluff or useless detail.  Everything is practical and applicable to your profession.

This is a live web course you can take from any computer (home or office).  There are students who prefer early morning sessions in the office, after lunch, evenings at home, or weekends.  Check with me to see if we can work out a schedule.
