UGIC-GeCo West 2015 Conference

Each year the UGIC conference hosts an epic showdown of the best cartographers in the State. Both contestants are given the same data and challenged to produce a high quality map in under two hours. The audience watches them work on large screens and each contestant is asked to describe the techniques they are using. The finished products are printed and displayed in the map gallery and conference attendees vote for their favorite map. This is a great opportunity to learn tips and tricks from some of the best cartographers around.
This year Nick Kryger and Tom Zumbado will compete for the Iron Cartographer trophy. Both of these competitors are skilled and experienced cartographers. You won’t want to miss this chance to watch and learn from them as they work under pressure.
