Review of US Federal GIS activities, videos on spatial analysis, videos on creating story maps

Greetings GIS Colorado Community:

I believe it was Jon Gottsegen who alerted us about the review of US federal GIS activities from the GAO.  Thanks Jon!  I reviewed the document and wrote about it this week on the Spatial Reserves blog:

http://spatialreserves.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/review-of-us-federal-gis-activities-from-government-accountability-office/

I have created a set of 22 spatial analysis videos on raster calculator, making spatial decisions with data, land use change studies, creating slope, hillshade, contour, and aspect maps, and more, in the following playlist:

I also created a playlist of 6 videos detailing 2 main ways to create story maps, here:

Note that these videos focus on educational uses of story maps but the tools are the same for other uses besides education.

I hope these items are useful to some of you.

Cheers,
Joseph Kerski
