A new book from CRC Press / Taylor & Francis that looks like a very important contribution to our field.
Also wonderful to see the slides and videos for this book online!

From the authors:  Our spatial cloud computing book is published. It was integrated with first hand experiences from projects totaling over $10M and designed to cover cloud computing theory and practice for serving as a text for advanced geocomputing courses (such as CloudGIS, GeoInformatics, CyberGIS, and others). We hope it to set the foundation for our domain to adopt cloud computing with the following features:

1. Progressively covers general concepts, hands-on experiences, state of the art, and future research of cloud computing for GIScience.
2. Detailed slides and problems for each of the 17 chapters are provided online at http://stcenter.net/stc/node/26
3. Movie demo for step by step cloud operations are also provided and linked in slides.
4. Readers will have their own applications running in cloud services once finished reading and following the book practices.
