Technology Services of the City and County of Denver is seeking a GIS Data Administrator (ArcGIS) as part of the citywide GIS (DenverGIS) who will report to the GIS Supervisor. Duties will include: supervising technical GIS Staff, conducting multiple department GIS program support, coordination of multiple department data development/maintenance activities, writing scopes of work, evaluating/procuring resources, managing GIS projects that may require cross-department coordination, implementation of GIS standards, developing training plans, prepare budget materials, administering software licensing, and handling public requests for GIS data.

Experience with GIS project management including gathering cross-department user requirements, communicating those needs to GIS technical staff, implementing effective solutions adhering to GIS service delivery standards and supervision of technical staff is highly desired. Preferred skills include ARCGIS, Spatial Databases Engine (SDE) and ORACLE.

Minimum qualifications are a Bachelors Degree in Geography, Planning, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and three years of increasingly responsible experience linking relational databases with spatial data to produce maps, charts, and graphics, and reports. Two of those years must have been with ARCGIS and geodatabases in the ORACLE environment.

Experience at the professional level as described in the minimum qualifications may be substituted for the required education on the basis of one year of experience for one year of education; however, there is no equivalency for the two years of experience with ARCGIS and geodatabases in the ORACLE environment.
