The Digital Mapping Analyst (DMA) is responsible for processing satellite
imagery into orthorectified and/or mosaic image products using sophisticated
photogrammetric software
The DMA measures tie and control points, runs triangulation, process orthos
and orthomosaics with the Product Processor and other COTS software and
reviews the final products for accuracy and quality.
The DMA communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, helps identify
workflow inefficiencies and problems that can arise and helps develop
workarounds.
The DMA writes procedures, methods, workflow documents and standard operating
procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience
1 to 3 years professional experience in Photogrammetry or Remote Sensing
Technical Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of Photogrammetric and Image Processing software including PCI,
SocetSet, ERDAS Imagine, MapInfo, ArcInfo and other image processing tools.
Good understanding of digital ortho and orthomosaic production.
Understanding of photogrammetric principles and image radiometry.
Knowledge of terrain data, such as DEM.
Working knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems.
Interpersonal Skills and Abilities
