The National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC) with the School of Natural

a Geospatial Analyst position.
The Geospatial Analyst shall assist a multi-disciplinary research team
in the development of new drought monitoring tools and decision support
systems. The individual will work with climate and remote sensing experts
to research and develop remote sensing-based techniques for drought assessment
and investigate new statistical and geospatial modeling techniques for
drought monitoring. The individual will also assist in the development
of web-based tools and applications to disseminate geospatial information

LiDAR Sensor\Geodetic Manager
The LiDAR Manager brings a strong technical background to support and
provide leadership to the LiDAR /Geodetic Engineering business. Relevant
experience must include LiDAR collection, field survey, GPS and IMU field
and post processing, system installation and calibration and LiDAR analysis
and processing to ensure goals and objectives of projects are accomplished
within prescribed quality and time frames. Will perform a combination
of production, field work, sensor trouble shooting and other duties as
required.
Duties:
* Helps supervise LiDAR Department employees and resources to ensure maximum
efficiency, quality, and productivity.
* Recommends LiDAR Department capital and expense budgets and track expenditures.
* Tracks and reports operations status within the LiDAR Department.
* Reviews industry technology changes. Recommends R&D activities to
improve efficiency.
* Interface for all LiDAR sensor and component suppliers
* Continually looks for methods to enhance Collection and production processes,
lower costs and improve product delivery.
* Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve
problems.
* Provides support to Sales and Proposals staff as required for technical
writing, presentations, cost estimates and project planning.
* Leads Department for Flight project planning
* Leads department to meet schedule targets of 95% or greater
* Leads department to achieve a < 5% internal or customer re-work goal
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Geography, Survey/Geomatic Engineering, or a
related field; a minimum of six years experience in Geomatics including
LiDAR, GIS, Survey and GPS technology. Must have the ability to manage
a group of technical non-exempt and exempt employees, maintaining a high
degree of motivation and focus within the department. Must be detail oriented
with the ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a changing
environment. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication leadership
and motivational skills with a strong commitment to quality required.
Preferences (optional): Masters degree preferred
Marketing Specialist
Sanborns marketing specialist participates in planning, developing
and implementing efforts related to marketing strategies and tactics.
In this role, you will work in a collaborative environment to develop
company collateral, product marketing, media and public relations, web
content, presentation materials and any other means by which the company
communicates to its leadership, partners, customers and employees.
RESPONSIBILITES
* Develops marketing strategies in support of new and existing products
with a focus on branding and product placement.
* Develops product marketing plans and marketing communications projects.
* Leads the marketing effort to develop messaging and materials to support
sales efforts.
* Establishes and maintains media professional relationships, deadlines
& artwork coordination including ROI analysis for print and electronic
media campaigns and corporate communications.
* Establishes and maintains regional office relationships and maintains
a standard level of regional consistency.
* Develops and implements appropriate advertisement and direct mail campaign
placement as required.
* Responsible for the planning and implementation of various activities
to include preparing and organizing prospective client brochure materials,
seminar materials, Power Point presentations and other promotional materials;
teams with the graphic designer to coordinate printing efforts, monitors
quantities of marketing materials and supplies company wide and places
orders as necessary.
* Responsible for the corporate website content development and maintenance.
Supports the graphic designer on content and design implementation.
* Develops the communications plan for press releases. Maintains public
relations activities. Maintains corporate PR procedures and policies.
* Supports the business partner relationships and major tradeshow efforts.
* Supports the development of annual Marketing budgets.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in Communications,
Marketing or a related degree.
A minimum of five years experience in a marketing and communications role.
Experience with product marketing concepts and implementation is required.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products to include Power Point.
Working knowledge of the Internet and general understanding of web site
design and content management.
Working knowledge of remote sensing,
GIS and photogrammetry is preferred.
Macromedia Dreamweaver experience is a plus.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to plan, organize, and
effectively present data in various mediums.
Ability to perform multiple tasks, working under occasional short deadlines
and just-in-time projects a must.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and ability to work in
an interdisciplinary and inter-office environment with minimal direction.
