GIS SPECIALIST
COLORADO FOURTEENERS INITIATIVE
GOLDEN, CO

CFI works with land managers to install informational kiosks at 14er trailheads where a sustainable hiking route has been constructed. We are presently designing over a dozen of these multi-panel kiosks, and we have become bottlenecked with an important part of the project. CFI is looking for an additional experienced GIS specialist to help complete the following work for this high-profile project:

1. Peak Route Elevation Profile

2. Peak 3D Image with Sustainable Route Marked

3. General Forest Service Vicinity Map (most time-consuming of the 3)

The work involves manipulation and “cleaning” GIS data that is received from the Forest Service, in order to prepare the above images. While we have already hired a GIS specialist to work on these items for most of the kiosks, we need additional help for the following 4 kiosks: Wetterhorn, Uncompahgre, Sneffels, and La Plata. A template for the vicinity map already exists, which will make future maps easier to build.
