Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain and update existing GIS databases with Proposed and As-Built surveys from the Facilities Engineers and their survey contractors.
· Expand database capabilities for system records and analysis.

· Work with Facilities to make certain proper pipeline integrity aspects are incorporated into the pipeline database attributes for risk assessment.
· Submit data to the Texas Railroad Commission to help maintain Pipeline Compliance Standards.
· Perform queries, analysis and map-production to support the Midstream team in their daily operations.

Qualifications:
· Currently eligible or able to obtain clearance to work in the United States
· GIS Degree, GIS Certification or CAD Technical School Degree + 3 years experience
Experience with various mapping software, including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, GlobalMapper
Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio
Experience within the Oil & Gas Industry particularly in regards to pipelines
Understanding of the Texas Railroad Commission and the Texas Land system a plus
Familiarization with D.O.T. Standards a plus
Ability to work and communicate with Production Operations, Land Management, Facilities Engineering, Construction and other departments, including third party contractors
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently

REMOTE SENSING/GIS SPECIALIST
USDA-ARS JORNADA EXPERIMENTAL RANGE
NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY
LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO

The New Mexico State University, USDA-ARS Jornada Experimental Range (JER) in Las Cruces, NM, USA is seeking a temporary, full-time technical specialist, not to exceed two years (the position may be extended at the end of the period). The Long-Term Ecological Research site at the JER has one of the longest continuous periods of records in arid regions, extending back to 1912 while the site also has a rich remote sensing database, including aerial photography (which starts in 1936). In addition to numerous satellite datasets from various sensors, high resolution digital photography from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) has recently been obtained. The position requires a Bachelor's or Master's of Science in fields such as remote sensing, GIS, geography, natural resources, environmental sciences, or engineering; 3 years job related experience with 2 years in remote sensing data processing; and experience with soils, vegetation, or geomorphology field classification.

Responsibilities of the position include: processing and analyzing satellite imagery, aerial photography, ground-based plot photography, and Lidar data; orthorectifying and mosaicking aerial photography and hyperspatial UAV imagery; analyzing and integrating remotely sensed, GIS, and GPS data, and assisting researchers with image processing tasks; assisting with field data collection. Two to three years of experience with remote sensing/GIS software is required (Erdas Imagine, Leica Photogrammetric Suite, ESRI suite, ENVI, eCognition, Feature Analyst, etc.). Experience with digital photogrammetry and programming experience in the remote sensing/GIS environment are preferred.

The position will be based on the campus of New Mexico State University and the salary will be dependent on the applicant's level of education and experience and will range between $27,497-$41,246. Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. The equivalent combination of related education and experience will be considered; Master’s degree preferred. *Confers with project staff/subcontractors to outline work-plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority during project execution.
*Coordinates with operations and subcontractors to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
*Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
*Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
*Responsible for insuring the correct technical solutions are implemented to satisfy the client. This may require conferring with technical personnel across the company or subcontractors to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
*Coordinates project activities with any outside entity required such as government regulatory agencies, airports, etc.
*May oversee day-to-day activities of other Project Managers and/or Project Coordinators.
*Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:Bachelors degree in a business related field, Master’s degree preferred. EXPERIENCE:PMP Certification highly desired. Aerospace/DOD program management experience a plus. Five to seven years strong project management experience preferred, including program design, subcontract management, and project financial/schedule performance management. Contract and proposal preparation experience required.
