** Clarification of what it means to have current federal employment "status":

"Applications will be accepted from any qualified individual with current career or career-conditional status, those with reinstatement eligibility, and those eligible under special programs, including Veterans Readjustment Appointment (VRA) eligibles for GS-11/WG-11 (or equivalent), 30% or more compensable disabled veterans, handicapped authority eligibles, and Peace Corps eligibles. Veterans who are preference eligibles or who have been separated from the armed forces under honorable conditions after 3 years or more of continuous active service may apply. All applicants will receive consideration without regard to political, religious or labor organization affiliation or nonaffiliation, marital status, race, color, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, or nondisqualifying physical or mental handicap."
